My Creative Space

I haven't played along with My Creative Space for aaaaagggggeeess!! This year, I'm going to take part again. I've found so many lovely blogs through playing along and I'm sure I'll find many more this year.

I'm taking a little break from markets for the first few months of this year to have some time to come up with new things to make and sell. I've been busy in my sewing room testing various things and brain storming to come up with new ideas.

I've got lots of projects that I'm working on, but here are a couple I've finished.

Toddler / preschooler sized totes with matching hair bands

Superhero cape. I'll make them in different colours with different patterns on the back. Not sure exactly what yet though!

I'm happy to have my creative mojo back. Now to find more time in the day!!

Groovy new fabric

How grooooovy is this fabric?? I'm waiting, somewhat patiently, for it to be available to purchase at Hawthorne Threads. I want it!! kinda now. haha.

I have BIG ideas for this fabric. How cute is it!?

My boys

I haven't posted updated pics of my boys for a while because... well, I've been a slack blogger!

Jack is going to be four next month. FOUR! Wow, time really does fly. He went back to pre-school today after the Christmas break, and they've made a new little group for the kids who are starting school next year. Can't believe that this time next year, he'll be at big school. I switch between feeling sad that he'll only be home with me for one more year and feeling so excited for him to be starting school.

Luke is now 20 months old. It's hard to believe he's been here with us for almost two years. He's such a little mummy's boy but is slowing getting some independence. He LOVES following Jack around and they have so much fun together. He really makes my heart sing. Such a little sweetheart :)

My own sewing room!

My sewing space was getting very squishy. I was tucked in a corner in the loungeroom with a cupboard exploding with fabric and I was going slightly craaazzzyyyy!!

But, not anymore! My boys decided they wanted to share a room, which meant we had a spare bedroom. I think my sewing machine was up in that room quicker than you can say "fabric sale?? WHERE?" lol.

I've got my sewing table up there all set up and a few shelves. I now need a new cupboard / bookcase to store all my lovely fabrics. I'm also decorating and planning some decoration and I'm having SO. MUCH. FUN!

Here's a few little things I've been doing....

I've chosen to go with pale pink and pale blue as my colour scheme.

I made this little print this afternoon. I'm going to print it in a 5x7 size and put it in a vintagey frame that I have in my head.. now to find it in a store!

Happy New Year!!

A new year! A fresh start. I always seem to get more motivation at the start of a new year.

I tell myself each year that THIS is the year that things are going to be GREAT! THIS is the year that I'm going to make a difference!!

so, here we are again and I'm telling myself the same things. 2011 is going to be great! I've got so many plans, ideas and dreams. And I believe in them :)
