I have been quite slack with blogging lately. I find that I go in cycles; I'll blog heaps and be very keen, and then won't blog for a while as I don't really have anything to say or have no photos of what I want to write about.
I think it's time to get back into blogging. I enjoy it, so must start writing about my days / crafts again.

Work in progress - headbands
I have a big head. Yes. I admit it. Most headbands hurt me after a while, which is a shame because I love wearing headbands. Somehow, putting on a headband at home makes me feel more housewifey and groovy, all in one. What power a headband can have!! ;)
I've been testing some headbands to add to my next market stall. Some for adults and some for children. And some extra large ones for those adults who *cough* have a larger head... it's all those brains in there, right??
The extra large one is comfy on my head. Success! I haven't taken pictures of the adult ones, but here's my boys wearing one of the children's ones.

My Creative Space
This week, I've been working on some new things to sell at my next market stalls. I've been thinking of making make up rolls for make up brushes but instead made up some pencil rolls to see how they would turn out. I'm happy with the result so far :)

Next I will work on ones for make up brushes.
I also tested a baby cube this week. It looks really cute! I haven't finished hand sewing the last part shut yet as I was trying to decide if I should include a little bell inside. I think I will, so now to find some bells!

Riding along on my pushbike, honey
Yesterday, I became the owner of a lovely new pushbike! I love it. Let's not talk about how hard it was to actually find a store with it in stock... it doesn't matter anymore!
And of course, on the way home from the shop, it started to rain. But, that's ok because by the time it took my handy hubby to put it together, it was dark!
We all went for a ride today and I had one of my boys in the child seat on the back most of the time, which wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
I'm really looking forward to riding my new bike in Spring and Summer. So glad for the warmer weather!

My Creative Space
Today I've been doing up my work space. I sew in a corner of the loungeroom and have a table, shelf and bit of a wall as my little space. It was quite a boring, ugly little space when I started, but I have been adding bits and pieces to it for a little while.
I've been wanting to cover and paint my table for ages and today was the day to start! I've got some green polka dot oilcloth that I bought to cover the table. I cut it out, popped it on the floor, flipped the table, stapled with the staple gun and ta-da!! All done!!!
It needs to be uncreased a bit, but this will happen with a bit of heat... I hope!! I'm going to paint the legs white when the weather is a bit warmer.

My little sewing spot. My hubby put that shelf up for me recently and it's made such a difference!

*gasp!* Amy Butler now does wallpaper!!!
Oh my!! I'm sooo excited! Amy Butler has brought out wallpaper!!!
I've been wanting to do a little freshen up of both my lounge room and my bedroom and have been looking around for some wallpaper to go on 2 walls for ages. I haven't found anything that I've liked, but now I have!
My bedroom makeover is going to feature blue I think. I want to make a quilt for our bed, pop a chandlier up and put wallpaper on one wall.
In the lounge room, we have a small wall behind our tv that is currently painted burgundy. We are ready for a change and I'd love to just have one wallpapered wall in our living area.
Now... which ones to pick????

Sunday Citar
Now that it's the last month of winter, I am getting excited about spring coming very soon! Yay!! I LOVE the sunshine and warmth and am ready for the cold weather to end. I love watching the flowers starting to bloom and hanging out with my boys outside.
My hubby took this lovely pic of a beautiful flower and now I'm really ready for spring!
Earth laughs in flowers. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
People from a planet without flowers would think we must be mad with joy the whole time to have such things about us. ~Iris Murdoch
If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. ~Terri Guillemets

My Creative Space
This week I was lucky enough to have one WHOLE day to myself. Yes. A whole day. Wow! I had to decide between sleeping or sewing... and what do you think I chose? I'll give you a hint... my eyes were not closed!
I put on girly movies (The Princess Bride and Legally Blonde) and sewed away to my heart's content. Without interuption. What bliss! I made the shells of 20 tote bags for my next market. 20! I felt such achievement for that day. And very relaxed.
Here's some of the totes. They just need finishing and handles.
Also this week I've been making up mini yo yo clips. I made big ones for my last market and I had people comment that they'd love smaller ones. So, I've been making some up and I really like them.

Sunday Citar
I realised yesterday that we haven't taken a picture of Luke in his cot and he is 15 months old! So last night after his bath we popped him in his cot to try to take a picture of him. Well. It took a while, but we got it! And I love it :)

Fabric order done!
Seeing as I've made it through most of the large pieces in my fabric stash (yes, I KNOW!?! How did that happen??) I have needed to do a fabric order.
Sounds easy, right?? Wrong! I have been trying to do this order for over a week now.
Things would go into my cart. Out of my cart. I changed stores. Changed back. I was dreaming of fabric. Thinking of fabric. Talking about fabric. And it's enough! ARGH!
I have, as of 2 minutes ago, when I should have been in bed, finally completed my fabric order. And it feels good!
I needed fabric for more of my bag bags that I make and needed fabric for more bunting flags for markets coming up and to list on my online stores.
Thanks to Hawthorne Threads my order is complete. Now starts the waiting game. Waiting for Mr Postman :)

Sunday Citar
Oh! Sunday Citar! I've missed playing along with Sunday Citar. It's time to jump back in there.
Last night, my husband took some pictures of me with my youngest, Luke, after his bath. It wasn't planned, and the pictures are some of my favourites of me and my boy.
My quote this week is
We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today. ~Stacia Tauscher
I like it because sometimes I find I focus too much on what's going to happen in the future for my kids that I don't enjoy who they are NOW. Need to remember that they are little people now, as well as in the future :)

My Creative Space
Morning!
In my creative space today, I thought that I would be writing about working on my bag bags that I'm making for my next market stall.
But, we had a bit of a sewing emergency this morning. Mister 3 year old was playing with his Iggle Piggle and there was a disaster..... WHERE was Iggle Piggle's blanket???? Gone. We can't find it. So, Jack suggested that I "make Iggle one on your machine."
We rumaged through the fabric cupboard and Jack selected a train print flanelette.
We cut it out, pinned it together and did a quick sew on the sewing machine. And voila! Iggle Piggle has a new blanket.
And, you know what? I think his new blanket much nicer than his old, red, boring one!!
Have a great creative day :) Check out other creative spaces here
