I did it! My first market :)

You may have noticed I've been a bit quiet lately.... yes??? no??? Well, the reason for the quietness (whether noticed or not!) is because last night I had my first ever market stall. And it went so so well!

It was a fundraiser night at a local preschool, and local crafters had a variety of stores there. There were 10 stalls in total, which was a great number as I don't think anymore would have fit into the classroom where it was held. A great variety too.

I had for sale my hair accessories, tote bags, bag bags (for plastic bags or tea towels) and some bunting. I had lots of feedback about things that people wanted more of and they also gave me some great ideas for my next stall. (yep, I'm inspired to do it again!)

I've also been making up some bunting for my stall. I'm making up 4 sets and have finished 2 so far

Cute yo yo hair clips

I went to the Craft and Quilting show earlier this week and saw a kit and pattern to make up yo yos. I love the look of them but thought I would google how to do it instead. What did people do before google???

They are so simple! And so beautiful! I've made up 2 so far and sewed them to hair clips. I'm going to add them to my stall at my market next month. I'm going to get some bigger buttons to try too. Loving the look :)

A few finished hair bands

I've been doing lots of work on my hair accessories for my up coming market stall and have now finished a good selection of hair bands. I've started on my hair clips now too.

Here's a few pics of the finished hair bands. I've put them on some card with my logo and sealed them in little plastic slips to make them look professional. I must say, I'm really happy with the result!!

My Creative Space - getting ready for market

I've been a busy little beaver (wonder how busy beavers actually are???) getting ready for my first market stall ever. I'm getting really excited!! My lovely friend has been trying to convince me for a while that I should just go. for. it. but I didn't know what I was going to make. What if I failed? etc.

Well, time to put on my big girl undies and just DO IT! The market is at a local preschool in the evening, so is a perfect little market to try out. It's in July so I've been busily making stuff - hair accessories & bunting so far.
